James Emmett

Having founded the business in 1996 and following an internal MBO in 2014, James assumed the position of Group CEO of Hanover. He is responsible for setting the global strategy and direction of the business, partner hiring and acquisitions. James also works closely with Hanover’s leadership team to provide support and guidance, as well as assisting them in growing the business, their teams and our service offering. His role involves providing the best platform to service our clients and grow our business, and he strives to be a catalyst for positive change in the way we work.

What is your favourite quote?
I have two favourites. Simon Sinek said, “Always start with the why”, and to me that means using my ‘why’ to inspire the Hanover family to be the best they can be. My other favourite is from Napoleon Hill: “Whatever the mind conceives and believes, it achieves.”

What is your leadership style?
My leadership style is about empowerment. Empowering others to achieve remarkable results for themselves, for Hanover as a business and for our clients.
